Giving back to the community is something our team takes very seriously. Purpose Metals is a fast-growing, full service, scrap metal recycler. It is our mission to redefine the scrap metal industry by giving back to communities “one pound at a time.”

How it All Started
Kelley and I met in 1999 while volunteering with a church youth group. It was obvious early on that we both have a passion for mission work and we have gone on many missions trips together since that time.
Our family truly believes that giving back should be a way of life, and so it was with that spirit we developed the Purpose Metals' business model, which transforms customers into benefactors.
The “One Pound at a Time” business model for Purpose Metals came from a few “Aha!” moments we experienced. We read about a man named Blake Mycoskie, founder of TOMS Shoes, and his “One for One” business model. For ever pair of TOMS shoes purchased, a pair is donated to a child in need. The concept centers around using the purchasing power of individuals to benefit the greater good.
Day to Day
We buy all types and grades of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap and salvage metals. Industrial customers benefit rom our quick response time on container pick-ups, prompt payment, and timely reporting.
